This brings back memories, in the mid/late 40's while traveling with my parents, my dad would stop at a motel/hotel to check in, but first would ask to check out the room, and even the kitchen. I was so embarrassed as a 9-10 yr. old, but back then I think was a common request. (the old fashion way of doing business) Anyone else remember this type of request?
