Last night the Southern Nevada Casino Collectibles Club (SNCCC) had their monthly meeting at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino. Meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday, of each month, and we are scheduled into Salon A through December 2017! Everyone is welcome to be there at 6 pm for socializing (buy/sell/trade and talk casino memorabilia). The business meeting starts at 7 pm, usually running about 15 minutes and is followed most often with a Guest Speaker, a raffle (which includes a 50/50 raffle) and then an auction!
Last night's meeting had 35 members and guests in attendance, including Ron and Vickie Gaudette, in from Barstow, CA and Jason Skinner, in from England! Our Guest Speaker brought a business friend, so we were honored to have 2 Guest Speakers! The principal speaker was Mr. Roger Snow, Vice President of Table Games, Scientific Games Corporation. Mr. Snow gave a very interesting presentation regarding Scientific Games' development of new table games. (Think 3-Card Poker, Crazy 4 Poker, Let it Ride, etc., type of games.) His friend, Mr. Geoff Hall, is a third-party table game developer, who developed BlackJack Switch, Free Bet Black Jack and the soon to be demonstrated, Zombie Black Jack, where you can bring a dead hand back to life! (This game will be a Trial Game at the Venetian beginning in mid-August.)
In other meeting activities, a final call for auction submittals was made by Dale Horyna for the Club's annual fundraiser auction, which will begin 15 August here on TheChipBoard.com. Club Members (and others that would like to support the Club) are asked to provide TCR-valued "J" or better chips for auction, with either 50% or 100% of the winning bid going to the Club.
Next month's meeting will be August 8th.
Lastly, we thank Boyd Gaming for the use of a room for our meetings!
