Ever since a small quantity of these chips were found and showed up on , I knew it was a chip I wanted for my collection. I haven't seen one on for quite a while now. I couldn't make the convention this year and saw a post by Mike Nawrocki on his convention haul. He had a $5 Black Orchid chip. I sent Mike an email asking about the Black Orchid chip and also posted on the ChipBoard looking for the Black Orchid. Jay Pike emailed me the contact info for the seller of the Black Orchid's (Ernie Wheelden). Jay pointed out that Ernie was a very friendly and knowledgeable dealer at the convention this year. I got in contact with Ernie and he was more than gracious enough to sell me a $5 Black Orchid. After the sale was complete, Mike N. emailed me with the dealer name he purchased his chip (Ernie Wheelden). The main point to this post is not that I got my Black Orchid chip, but to let all know that folks like Jamison Pike, Mike Nawrocki and Ernie Wheelden make this hobby fantastic. All 3 gentlemen were more than willing to share information and help make my collection a little more complete. There are many, many folks like these 3 in this hobby and on this ChipBoard. Again, thanks to all those chippers that lend a helping hand to the newbies, amateur's and to the most seasoned chippers in this hobby!!!!!! And here is my new chip
