Hi Everyone,

We spent the 4th with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. But before we arrived in Columbus we had a few more stops to make on the road less traveled. We ended up in Martinsville, Illinois. According to the app they have the best hamburgers in the world. They are served at the moonshine store. According to the app the town has 2 people and they live above the moonshine store and make the "Moon" burger. If you find yourself there you may want to make certain you get there before 12:30 because the grill closes and no more burgers are made until 6 AM the next morning. We found that out after we drov eout of our way on the dirt road!!

If you are ever in Fortville, Indiana you may want to stop and have your picture taken with the Martini Drinking Pink Elephant. The Roadside America app allows you to rate the attraction. Now some people stated it was not worth the stop, I have to say it is so worth the stop. How often do you see an elephant wearing glasses, drinking a martini up with an olive?

Then of course we followed the road to New Castle Indiana which is home to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. There you will find a large sneaker. But an added attraction in New Castle is Corey the ice house giant. He is like a muffler man only he is in front of, wait for it, AN ICE HOUSE!!! I know you saw that one coming.

Once we got to Columbus we laid off of the search for things and just enjoyed family. We are leaving here and heading to Lebanon to visit our son-in-law and 2 grandchildren.
