About 25 years ago there was a traveling blackjack game on the Oregon coast that moved from Coos Bay in the south to Clatskanie in the north, a distance of about 200 miles. The organizer had 8-10 different denomination chips made by Chipco and used them for the game. There were a number of stops at bars and motels along the way where the games were actually played. Social gaming is legal in Oregon.
In 1993, a special $5 chip was made to promote the 150th anniversary of the Oregon Trail. The game is no longer played but dealers and collectors did pick up a number of their chips as souvenirs; the regular chips had a picture of a bear on them and yes, there are bears in Oregon. The 1993 commemorative had a picture of a covered wagon that many of the Pioneers used as they traveled the Oregon Trail.
Here are three different unused chips, a $3, a $5 commemorative, and a $25. If you'd like the set of three, they can be yours for $36, face value plus postage to USA addresses. I have only the one set.
