Since I did NOT drive to the Convention this year for the first time in 17 years, I had to find a way to get my chips out to Vegas for the Convention. I flew out and was able to carry about 1100 chips with me on the plane. The rest of my chips were mailed out via USPS Medium Flat Rate Priority Boxes. I was able to put 4 of my chip storage boxes in each Priority box. The boxes shipped at a flat rate of $13.60 per box, so it cost me $108.80 to ship 4500 chips back and forth to Vegas. Each box weighted 28 pounds - it cost me less than 50 cents per pound to ship the chips each way to Vegas. If I had to shipped 28 pounds by regular mail it would have cost about $75.00 per box or $600.00 to ship the chips - thank God for Priority mail shipping. I wrapped the boxes in "Gorilla" Duct tape and they arrived in great condition. Also it only took 2 days for the chips to arrive home from the Convention. I mailed them on Monday from Vegas and they were in the Post Office in Millsboro, Delaware on Wednesday.
