I just wanted to give Mark props for how well he played; especially once we got heads-up.
I thought for sure I was going to win it. Every time I put Mark to a test and put pressure on him, he hung on tight and called me down with 2nd pair or 3rd pair and would take pot from me.
On one other heads-up hand, we both had six in our hand and board was: 2,3,4,5. So we both had a six-high straight and we both slow playing it against each other.
The river was another six! putting a straight out there on the board and counterfeited our hidden straights. He pushed all-in forcing me to fold (since the best I could hope for would be a split the pot and if he had a seven I would have lost). We both showed each other we had six and he took that pot down. That hand turned the tables giving him 2 to 1 chip lead and he never looked back.
So Congrats Mark! You did great and deserved to win it. I know your Mom would be proud of you too!
