A very recent Chipping Tale should you ever want to use it.
Last night I drove to Viejas Casino in San Diego County after work - braved rush-hour traffic or better said, went with the (mostly) ebb and flow of it - and arrived at Viejas around 9:00 PM.
i'd received a special invitation in the mail to get $20 in free play chips. But the conditions were I had to arrive on a specified Monday or Wednesday to cash in on the offer. Arriving at the casino, I went to the V Club and was told to first insert my Club Card in any slot machine. The $20 credit would be applied to the card, and I should then go to the cashier to exchange that for chips if such were my desire. The Viejas comp chips are notched ceramic ones, good for a two-year interval, and have recently been released for the 2017-2018 period.
Off the the main Cage I trotted, "loaded" club card in hand, dodging a cocktail bar that somehow appeared where some perfectly good slot machines stood a few months ago. At the Cage, I presented my player's card, the invitation card and my driver's license. I was informed that my ID (driver's license) wasn't current, but that I had $25 in comp chips available. I suggested the cashier look carefully at my current, valid license and she agreed that it was in fact still good, That hurdle cleared, she asked: "Do you want five nickels or a twenty-five?"
I expressed surprise, and she said, "Nickels are $5 chips." Told her I understood that half of the question but I didn't know $25 NCV chips even existed. "Oh, yes," she replied, "Comp chips come in 5 and 25."
I briefly thought over the dilemma. Almost nobody, no card gambler anyway, would put a free $25 chip in his pocket, walk past the tables and out of the casino with it. So, ask for the five $5 chips and have extras to sell or trade to four of my closest collector friends? Maybe even one to Reggie? Or . . . get a single $25 NCV which nobody knows exists as of yet, and which will likely remain quite rare, but keep it for myself? What would YOU do?

NANCY AND I HAD DECIDED TO GO TO THE BATTLE CREEK SHOW WHILE STILL LIVING IN TENNESSEE. ONCE AGAIN WE DECIDED ON A SIDE TRIP, THIS TIME TO NIAGRA FALLS; NEITHER OF US HAD EVER BEEN THERE.
OUR PLAN WAS TO HARVEST ON THE WAY UP AND GET THERE IN TWO DAYS. WHEN WE FINALLY GOT TO THE NIAGRA HOLIDAY INN WE WERE COMPLETELY AWESTRUCK WITH THE FALLS AND THE AREA AROUND THE FALLS. THEY WERE SO BEAUTIFUL WE WONDERED WHY WE HAD NOT DONE THIS EARLIER.
IN ORDER TO GO ACROSS THE BORDER INTO CANADA I HAD TO UNLOAD MY ENTIRE PICK-UP INTO THE HOTEL ROOM(HOLIDAY-INN), AND WORRY ABOUT IT THE WHOLE DAY WE SPENT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RIVER.
WE HAD A LOT OF FUN, HARVESTED EVERYTHING I NEEDED FROM THE CANADIAN SIDE, MY WIFE GOT HER SLOT FIX AND I PICKED UP A FEW HANDS OF POKER. THE MOST MEMORABLE PART OF THE HARVEST WAS AFTER WE GOT ALL OF OUR SOUVENIRS AND CHIPS, WAS THE DINNER ON THE TOP OF THE SPACE NEEDLE. If you can, please; help out with some solutions to these.• You initiate a trade or the party in question initiates a trade; and after a while and exhausting all avenues, you realize that the other party is just jacking you around, never was serious about it, reneges on his/her word, with draws original offer, or just quits answering your email. This was a CC-GTCC member.
• Are contacted through the Chipboard or other means; for a trade but the trader insists on you shipping the agreed upon trade items first, but; cannot give you references of previous trades with other CC-GTCC members. And makes the statement this is the way I always do it.
• Asked to hold something, with a promise of payment, that never comes?
• Been told after paying the seller in full; that your chips were mailed to someone else by mistake. This is usually a scam to buy time, because they may or may not have them to begin with? They possibly were waiting for your money to float themselves a loan.
• Been the victim of receiving, very dirty, damaged, chips that were not described as such? Should you have to put up with a buyer beware policy that has just been laid on you?
• Received orders from brand new, or novice collectors and have had to try to educate them in the short while of processing their order, tactfully? There is a lot of things that can go wrong during this transaction. Can use some pointers on this one myself.
• Been asked to re-ship non casino/chip related items internationally?
• Sold an item on the Chipboard and then marked it sold, only to be notified by the buyer they have changed their mind.
• Sent an email to a seller on the Chipboard requesting information, asking a question about “a for sale item”, or listing an item that you are looking for; and/or any other informational quest? And never get a response? (Both you and the person in question are CC-GTCC members)
• Make an error and been accused of being a hustler by a “non-member” of the CC-GTCC?
• Been taken advantage of by another member?
• Been approached for a trade, meanwhile the same person is trying to trade with others for the same items.
• Been a recipient of a “phishing expedition” email? With very nice chips as bait?
• Answered a post on the CB only to discover you are a late responder. This is not so bad, but to find out that you not only are late but the 3rd or 4th, to respond. Wouldn’t be nice for the Poster to let everyone know this on the CB?
• I made an order and paid for it (pay pal)on the 1st of the Month…after inquiring if and when the order was shipped, I was told that the order was shipped yesterday that he was a day late getting it out. “Yesterday” was the 6th of the month the same day he got my inquiry, not even close to the day it was paid for
• Had someone request an item(s) that have a time dated offer connected to it, and not come through with a payment, disallowing other patrons the opportunity to purchase those items?Had your email addresses hacked and had a phony request for funds sent out to all your friends?

( THERE ARE VERY FEW THAT I HAVE DUPLICATES THEY ARE FOR SALE AND WILL HAVE A PRICE ALONG WITH THEIR TITLES).
