At one time Pacific Bell was the telephone company of California. It's now owned by AT&T as AT&T California. There have been a lot of changes to the telephone company structure in the past 20-30 years. These advertising chips were made back when Pacific Bell was the name... in 1989. Note that the back of the red chip is a blank center. The design on the un-molded brass core is that of Pacific Bell but it's different in detail from that of the red chip. Among other details that are different, the card-suits are larger on the un-molded core.
