() In addition to Roadside America (and the roadside architecture mentioned above) there is also another one of my favorites:
Atlas Obscura
This one includes international sites, very useful for weird things over seas.
If you open the site on your phone you can try to look for nearby things, it will allows you to see a map, etc. Not quite a slick as the Road Side America app, but close enough.(and free!)
