Small Casino. Friendly people. On the way down US 95 is Lake Havasu CA, an 18 mile drive from the highway. Sign says not to annoy the wild burros on the road. I didn't see any, they must have had the day off.
The casino is not much to see. Not at all flashy or casino looking. It's on 3 levels with lots of stairs. For me on my Riding Lawnmower (Mobility Scooter) I had to go outside and up the side of the place to another set of doors for each level. They did however try to make things more accessible as they have a lift for wheelchairs. Very personable security guard saw me scooting around and was quite happy to help me get on the lift and she operated it from the floor 5 feet above me. It goes up the 5 feet to the next level (restaurant, players club) and all of a sudden as I motor forward, the lift begins to very slowly sink back down. I reverse the scooter to keep from being flipped over, half on half off the lift as it descends back to the main slot floor, waving good-bye to the security guard during the decent. She's calling for help, and several managers gathered by the time it reached the bottom. They decided to mark the lift out of order, and showed me the outside path.
Made my way to the top level with the 4 table games, 2 dealers standing at empty tables. A old man pit boss slouched in a chair nearby. Friendly dealer, happy to have something to do. Lost my one BJ hand... Asked the dealer if he'd give me two blue 50 cent chips as I tossed 2 $1 chips his way. "A dollar for the chips, and a toke for you." Dealer looked to the old man, who nodded OK, and I got my 50 centers.
That level with the table games has large windows overlooking the river. Sit at the bar or get a drink ( in my case, a glass of water) and sit right at the windows, slow down and watch the water. It's a Road Trip, not a commute to San Diego...
Slot club sign up gets you discounts for dining, but the best is a free ride on the ferry across the River to the Arizona Side. I'd say most of the patrons arrive that way from AZ, not the California US 95 route.
It's a joint, but a friendly place. I'd go back again.

CHINOOK WINDS IS LOCATED IN OREGON ON THE CENTRAL COAST. THIS CASINO IS LOCATED RIGHT ON THE BEACH IN LINCOLN CITY, OR.
WHEN NANCY AND I WERE DOING OUR MONTHS TOUR OF NORTHERN CA, OREGON AND NEVEDA WE STOPPED THERE BRIEFLY FOR A HARVEST.
WHEN WE ARRIVED IT WAS ABOUT NOONISH TIME FOR A BITE TO EAT, SO WE WENT IN AND GRABBED A BITE AT THEIR SNACK BAR, THE ONLY PLACE THAT WAS OPEN IN THIS BEAUTIFUL CASINO.
LATER NANCY HEADED FOR THE MACHINES, I HEADED FOR A BLACK JACK TABLE I REALLY DID NOT NEED ANY CHIPS OTHER THAN THEIR OBSOLETES. I WAS STILL COLLECTING COMMEMORATIVES AT THAT TIME, SO WHILE PLAYING BLACK JACK I CULLED OUT TWO OF EACH OF THE COMMERATIVES FOR MY COLLECTION AND ONE FOR MY TRADERS. THIS DID NOT ACTUALLY TAKE VERY LONG, AND IT WAS NOT TOO LONG BEFORE NANCY CAME BY WHERE I WAS PLAYING AND WHISPERED THESE MACHINES ARE TIGHT, I CANNOT GET ANY THING OUT OF THEM. I SAID OK; I AM READY TO GO. THIS WAS A PLEASURABLE HARVEST AND STOP, THEY HAD LOADS OF PARKING WHICH MADE VERY EASY FOR THE 32 FOOT HOUSE I WAS DRIVING, LOL.
I GOT ALL I NEEDED AT THIS STOP…REGGIE

I am always trying to put things together that have some semblance of balance. Of course, that will always be in the eye of the beholder. Some of these may attract you the collector a little or a lot, no matter which way it attracts, please know I am always trying to help you out, with items you want at price that is fair. For now, I am going to do them every week, but as an unscheduled surprise feature…Thanks for looking. Reggie
If you have some ideas about compatible pairs please send them in to me. If it is possible and I happen to have the two, they will be put on the docket...reg

HARVESTING TECHNIQUES
I have over the years heard of and admired many posters on the “Chipboard” relating their experiences in casinos and various card rooms. I have actually utilized many of the techniques described. I am going to try to put together as many of these harvesting techniques as I can think of. Hopefully, this will help some of you in your travels in the future. If you have a method that you have used and it is tried and true; but, not listed here; please by all means send it to me and I will add it to this collection.
• The cashier is always the first and best bet. Specifically the Poker Room Cashier. When there is no poker room the main cage in the casino is the best, always ask for the supervisor in the cage, sometimes they can and will do special requests. Don’t forget to feed the tip jar, by implying a tip is very possible; sometimes the cashiers will even help you go through the racks.
• The pit.
• Shift Changes times at the casino is a smart move for maximizing your haul. If they are stingy on one shift, does not necessarily mean that the next shift will be that way, too.
1. Ask the dealer, try to find a table not working. Example: Can I buy 8 of those pretty pink ($2.50’s) chips? Always have the correct bill(s) ready to give the dealer, tipping is good, but not necessary.
2. Go to a friendly pit boss. And ask him if you can buy some chips without actually playing.
3. Last ditch effort if this does not work, sit down and play.
• Roulette wheels are often a good target for one’s, five’s and $25’s.Many times they are just standing around. Roulette $1 chips: Sorry folks you are on your own…
• When encountering maximum purchases of new issues, it may take some ingenuity on your part. The utilization of a partner (wife), another couple that you are out with, etc. Example: A two chip maximum, 4 people = 8 chips, going to different tables (pits), roulette wheels, big wheel etc. you usually can end up getting what you want.
• Often times in Indian Casinos, the spectrum swings wide. By that I mean you may not even be allowed to leave with chips, and/or you may be able to go to the casino manager and explain your circumstance, show him your CC-GTCC card; this usually will impress them. Many times they will take you up to the cashier and tell them to give you whatever you want. Another point to stress is that their chips are their business cards and you can and will make them known worldwide, through your club. (CC-GTCC)
• Many casinos and card rooms are not interested in your quest of chip collecting. Therefore, when buying chips you will need to buy a rack or a large amount of chips; either at the cage or table and then go through them yourself for the keepers.
• In remote locations, when (poker) tables are not open on a selected day (example Monday) and you are passing through and are only there for that day; try and find the cocktail waitress or bartender that worked the night before. Many times they have chips in their “tip jar”. This also works if you are too early in the day and cannot wait until the tables open.
• Techniques while playing “their games” of harvesting include the following:
1) Palming chips discretely and slipping them in your pockets (Cargo Pants Recommended)
2) Grabbing a few chips leaving the table for a minute for the call of nature, get a sandwich etc.
3) Handing off some chips to your partner (better half) for playing the slots…wink, wink.
4) Asking the dealer to break down some higher denominations so that you can tip them…wink wink.
• If I was to gauge in difficulty or ease of acquiring chips this the order I would assign them, easiest first:
1) Card Rooms (Example states: California, Florida & New Hampshire)
2) Riverboats (Example states: Mississippi, Louisiana & Iowa)
3) Indian Casinos (Example states: New Mexico, Oregon & Connecticut)
4) Nevada Casinos
5) Charity Casinos (Example states: North Dakota & Michigan)
• Card Room Harvesting: Cashier>Buy a rack> Pick out what you want>Easy Harvest
• Riverboat Harvesting: Cashier>Buy a rack, if possible>Pick out what you want>Easy Harvest or Sit down and buy an excessive amount of chips to play with>Pick out what you want>Suddenly have to leave or have someone call you away from the table, cash in the unwanted chips>relatively easy Harvest.
• Indian Casino Harvesting: Cashier in the Poker Room>Pick out what you want>Fairly easy Harvest. Or buy chips at one of their tables and change the color as needed>Once you have what you need then find a reason to leave>Not so easy, but usually a successful Harvest.
• Nevada Casino Harvest: (A Crap Shoot) Use all the above techniques as needed.
• Charity Casinos: Please send me information on these, I have never had the opportunity to harvest any of their casinos or card rooms.
• In general, in New Hampshire, they are reluctant to let them out, especially the smaller denominations. I gather they buy just about what they figure they need and no extras. Some have made the point to me relative to fractionals that the chips cost more than face to manufacture and I (and others) have had to really grovel to get one or two. I even offered to pay manufacturing cost plus but the additional problem they said was that they really didn't have many extras.
• A long list of “reasons” you are buying the chips; if needed:
1) I am buying as souvenirs for my (grand)children.
2) I trade them with my friends & relatives.
3) I am trying to get a chip from every casino in this state
4) I am trying to get a chip from every state & country.
5)
• Please email me for more info on any of these techniques, and I will try to answer all questions. Reggie

I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING POST CARDS FOR SEVERAL YEARS, AND HAVE SOME PRETTY COOL ONES. THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A NICE THING TO DO; SHARING THEM. NOT QUITE READY TO START SELLING THEM. ( THERE ARE VERY FEW THAT I HAVE DUPLICATES THEY ARE FOR SALE AND WILL HAVE A PRICE ALONG WITH THEIR TITLES). THAT BEING SAID; SHOULD YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE BEAUTIES THAT IS NOT PRICED, FEEL FREE TO MAKE ME AN HONEST OFFER.…REGGIE
MANY YEARS AGO I STARTED MY POSTING, BY POSTING “A SET OF THE DAY” I THINK I HAD ABOUT 300-400 SETS ALL TOGETHER. THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN BACK THEN. AND WHEN I STARTED DOING “A PAGE A DAY” I INCLUDED BETTER SETS AS A CATEGORY.
BUT NOW; RATHER THAN HAVING MY BETTER SETS CATEGORY, I WILL START HAVING A REGULAR SET OF THE DAY WITH MY OTHER FEATURES WHEN I DISPLAY A “PAGE OF THE DAY”.
I AM REDUCING PRICES ON MOST OF THESE SETS, SOME WILL BE FACE VALUE, SO IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE AND WANT, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE IN SENDING ME AN EMAIL, PUTTING A SOLD SIGN ON THE CB IS NOT THE WAY TO GUARANTEE YOUR PURCHASE OR TRADE. SEE POD FOR P/H RATES. SEND ME AN EMAIL FOR ORDERS OR QUESTIONS…Reggie

IT HAS BEEN VERY HARD FOR ME TO KEEP TRACK OF 50 STATES, CANADA, THE CARIBBEAN, WET CHIPS AND MY SPECIAL COLLECTION (CHIPS WITH CARDS ON THEM). I PLAN ON CUTTING THE STATES DOWN TO ABOUT SEVEN + OR -; PLUS, MY SPECIAL COLLECTION (CHIPS WITH CARDS ON THEM) AND CANADA. I HAVE NOT DECIDED WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY WET CHIPS, I LIKE THEM AND ENJOY CRUISING SO, THEY MAY BE A KEEPER.
WHAT YOU SEE BELOW IS WHAT I HAVE SETTLED ON SELLING. ALL OF THE STATES HAVE BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED AND PRICED. I AM NOT HOLDING OUT ANY CHIPS OF THE STATES, EXCEPT A FEW OF THE CHIPS WITH CARDS ON THEM. IF I CAN FIND SOME OF THESE CHIPS IN MY INVENTORY OR PAGES I WILL ADD THEM IN.
I WILL BE FEATURING ONE STATE PER PAGE OF THE DAY IN THE FUTURE. PLEASE, NO CHERRY PICKING REQUESTS, UNTIL I BREAK DOWN THE STATES INTO INDIVIDUAL CHIPS. I WILL MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT WHEN I BREAK UP ANY STATE AND ADD IT TO THE POD. ANOTHER MANNER OF MARKETING MAY BE BY CASINO. I MAY OFFER COMPLETE OR INCOMPLETE GROUPS/SETS FROM INDIVIDUAL CASINOS. ALSO, I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT MERGING THE SMALLER STATES INTO THE POD PAGES; THAT SEEMS TO BE THE EASIEST, THIS WILL HAPPEN AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN FEATURED ON THE CB AND THE POD SEVERAL TIMES.
A WORD ON WHAT APPEARS TO BE DUPLICATES ON THE PAGES. THESE ARE UV OR MOLD VARIATIONS. I AM NOT GOING TO PULL THESE OUT AT THIS TIME. SHOULD THIS BECOME A NEGOTIATING FACTOR AND THE BUYER ONLY WANTS JUST ONE CHIP AND THE UV’S AND MOLDS MATTER NOT, THEN I WILL REMOVE THEM AND ADJUST THE PRICE ACCORDINGLY.
FOLKS, MANY OF THESE CHIPS ARE ALIVE, AND STILL BEING USED ON THE TABLES TODAY. SHOULD YOU BE NEAR BY A CLUSTER OF CASINOS FROM ANY PARTICULAR STATE, YOU PROBABLY CAN COME AHEAD. ALSO, PLEASE KNOW THAT I CONSTANTLY OVER THE LAST 12 YEARS UP GRADED. I BOUGHT ANY NEW CASINO ISSUES WHEN THEY COME OUT FROM THE LOCAL CHIPPER THAT OFFERED THEM FOR SALE ON THE CHIPBOARD. THANKS FOR TAKING A LOOK-SEE…REGGIE
Starting 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.
Follow This Collection Library Link To Approximately +/- 4500 Trader Chips >>>: http://www.collectionlibrary.com/Index.asp?EvApp=mls.5117&sPageName=MyTraders
This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.
Thanks for taking your time to read over this post, Reggie
