These two Horseshoe Club quarters when put side by side are like the difference between night and day. The top one has been in my collection for several years and appears to be light tan while the bottom one was acquired this week at a coin show that appears to be a dark brown -- no apparent tan colors in the mix. The bottom one was from a coin dealer who said he personally collected the chip back in the early 90s from the craps table, and has been tucked away for years. The hot stamp on it appears to be in perfect condition. It's a solid chip, standing on edge, etc. Either way, I plan to keep it because when side-by-side there is too much of a color difference between the two chips. Any ideas would be appreciated.
