Three recent MARINA CLUB chips each of which I "discovered" at the little casino in recent years.
The old set of Chipco's were getting more and more banged up, until they were almost white. When I visited the casino a couple of years ago, I saw some "darker" $5 chips in circulation - still obviously used but nicer looking - so I bought some from the Cage. When I went outside into the sunlight, for it was a Saturday afternoon, I was surprised to spot the little "GO" mark in purple above the first "a" in "Marina." So I rushed back into the casino to buy a few more, to the amusement of the cashier. Now, all of these had great wear to the outer edges, as if they had been on the tables at least a year, but nobody had reported the GO instead of CI mark on them.
I returned to the Marina at some point after this visit, maybe 6 months, to discover the new $1 Game-On chips on the tables. Spotted them instantly and was able to buy 20 from the cashier. These have a raised outer ring area by which, I presume, the manufacturer hopes to slow down wear to the inlay area. Instead of a GO letter on the face, these show the four little "incused" micro-engraving which by now we should be getting familiar with.
Then, when I returned yet another time, about a year ago, I saw that the "new" GO $5 chips were being replaced with a newer Game-On $5 chip. This one has both a visible GO after "Club" and the four little incused marks, again with a raised light purple outer ring. On this visit, the cashier was eating a bowl of popcorn at a table and somewhat begrudgingly came into the Cage to sell me a handful, then went back to his 'corn without making a fuss that I planned to walk out with the chips. Because you cannot yell, "Don't leave with my chips!" with a mouth full of popcorn.
I mention all this in case you also lack one or both of the $5 chips in your collection. Let me know, and I can mail out what you want.
Suppose I should go back to the Marina some day (might be in spring) to see what they are up to. Especially since the cashier seems to know me as that Very Strange Man who buys a few chips and leaves.

SPIRIT MOUNTAIN CASINO IS LAID OUT BEAUTIFULLY ADJACENT TO A MAIN ARTERY THAT TAKES YOU BETWEEN PORTLAND AND THE OREGON COAST. I WAS JUST OVER ON THE COAST AND HAD VISITED THE MILL, THREE RIVERS & CHINOOK WINDS CASINOS EARLIER. I BELIEVE I HAD A RESERVATION FOR THE SPIRIT MOUNTAIN HOTEL AT THE TIME.
I NEVER REALLY DO MUCH LOOKING AROUND ON THE FLOOR OF THE CASINOS, I ALMOST ALWAYS HEAD STRAIGHT FOR THE POKER ROOM IF THEY HAVE ONE. SPIRIT MOUNTAIN AS I REMEMBER WAS AHEAD OF THE THEIR TIME. THE HAD ROULETTE, CRAPS AND PAIGOW AND ALL OF THE HIGH PERCENTAGE TABLE GAMES. IT WAS ONE OF THE LARGEST INDIAN CASINOS I HAD EVER BEEN IN. OF COURSE, THIS WAS WAY BEFORE I WENT TO FOXWOODS AND MOHEGHAN SUN.
THE POKER ROOM WAS HAVING A TOURNAMENT AND AS I REMEMBER. IT WAS A DIFFERENT GAME LIKE 7 CARD HI-LO SPLIT 8 OR BETTER. I ALMOST CASHED, I THINK I WAS EITHER THE BUBBLE BOY OR NEXT TO THE BUBBLE.
LATER AFTER I HAD MY POCKETS FULL OF THE CHIPS I HAD NEEDED, I SAT IN A HOLDEM GAME. THE END OF THE STORY IS THAT I RECEIVED A PLAYERS SHARE OF A BAD BEAT JACKPOT. HERE IS HOW IT WENT DOWN AS BEST AS I CAN REMEMBER. A HAND WAS DEALT, FLOP CAME WITH TWO ACES, THERE WAS ONLY ONE BETTER AT THE TIME, THEN ON THE TURN THE THIRD ACE CAME, AND THEN (DID I MENTION THIS WAS 3-6 LIMIT GAME)THERE WAS THREE BETTING & CALLING UNTIL ONE YOUNG MAN SAID IN DISGUST I KNOW I AM BEAT AND THREW HIS PAIR OF POCKET JACKS IN THE MUCK. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE LOSER TO A BAD BEAT. THE POCKET KINGS WENT ON TO LOSE THE HAND AND THE OTHER PERSON IN THERE HAD THE FOUR ACES WITH A QUEEN.
THE KID THAT THREW HIS HAND IN WAS SICK…I BOUGHT HIM A COUPLE OF DRINKS AT A QUIET LITTLE BAR NEAR THE POKER ROOM…TALKED HIM OUT OF HIS MISFORTUNE…WENT TO MY ROOM AND WASHED THE DIRT OFF OF MY HARVEST OF CLAY TREASURES. I DID GET ENOUGH OF SPIRIT MOUNTAIN CHIPS THIS TRIP… REGGIE http://www.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=ORGRSM

I am always trying to put things together that have some semblance of balance. Of course, that will always be in the eye of the beholder. Some of these may attract you the collector a little or a lot, no matter which way it attracts, please know I am always trying to help you out, with items you want at price that is fair. For now, I am going to do them every week, but as an unscheduled surprise feature…Thanks for looking. Reggie
If you have some ideas about compatible pairs please send them in to me. If it is possible and I happen to have the two, they will be put on the docket...reg

I HAVE REACHED AN IMPORTANT TIME IN MY COLLECTING. I AM GOING TO LIQUIDATE APPROXIMATELY HALF OF MY COLLECTION.
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF COIN, I AM GOING TO EXPAND THE HALF I AM KEEPING; CONSIDERABLY. THE DETAILS WILL BE POSTED AS I GET CLOSER TO ACTUALLY MAKING THIS HAPPEN.
IT HAS BEEN VERY HARD FOR ME TO KEEP TRACK OF 50 STATES, CANADA, THE CARIBBEAN, WET CHIPS AND MY SPECIAL COLLECTION (CHIPS WITH CARDS ON THEM). I PLAN ON CUTTING THE STATES DOWN TO ABOUT SEVEN + OR -; PLUS, MY SPECIAL COLLECTION AND CANADA. I HAVE NOT DECIDED WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY WET CHIPS, I LIKE THEM AND ENJOY CRUISING SO, THEY MAY BE A KEEPER.
WHAT YOU SEE BELOW IS WHAT I HAVE SETTLED ON TRADING AWAY, THERE MAY BE MORE LATER. I HAVE SOME READY TO GO NOW; SHOULD THERE BE AN EAGER BEAVER AMONGST YOU.
I WILL BE FEATURING ONE STATE PER POD IN THE FUTURE. I WILL NOT BE ALLOWING CHERRY PICKING, UNTIL I BREAK UP THE STATE INTO INDIVIDUAL CHIPS. ANOTHER MANNER OF MARKETING MAY BE BY CASINO. I MAY OFFER COMPLETE OR INCOMPLETE GROUPS/SETS FROM INDIVIDUAL CASINOS. ALSO, I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT MERGING THE SMALLER STATES INTO THE POD PAGES; THAT SEEMS TO BE THE EASIEST, THIS WILL HAPPEN AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN FEATURED ON THE CB ON THE POD.
IF ANY OF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL INTERESTS AND ARE WILLING TO MAKE ME HONEST AND FAIR OFFERS ON ANY OF THE FOLLOWING STATES, PLEASE DO SO:
AR, AZ, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, WI & WV - PLUS THE CARIBBEAN INCLUDING: BA, CUR, DR, St K, St M, ANT, ARU AND OTHER ISLANDS.
THE FOLLOWING STATES HAVE BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED AND PRICED: AR, DE, GA, KS, MD, ME, NC, NH, OH, RI, SC, TX & WV. (AS OF 6-3-17)

I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING POST CARDS FOR SEVERAL YEARS, AND HAVE SOME PRETTY COOL ONES. THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A NICE THING TO DO; SHARING THEM. NOT QUITE READY TO START SELLING THEM. ( THERE ARE VERY FEW THAT I HAVE DUPLICATES THEY ARE FOR SALE AND WILL HAVE A PRICE ALONG WITH THEIR TITLES). THAT BEING SAID; SHOULD YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE BEAUTIES THAT IS NOT PRICED, FEEL FREE TO MAKE ME AN HONEST OFFER.…REGGIE
#059 LAS VEGAS STRIP NEONS - LAS VEGAS
MANY YEARS AGO I STARTED MY POSTING, BY POSTING “A SET OF THE DAY” I THINK I HAD ABOUT 300-400 SETS ALL TOGETHER. THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN BACK THEN. AND WHEN I STARTED DOING “A PAGE A DAY” I INCLUDED BETTER SETS AS A CATEGORY.
BUT NOW; RATHER THAN HAVING MY BETTER SETS CATEGORY, I WILL START HAVING A REGULAR SET OF THE DAY WITH MY OTHER FEATURES WHEN I DISPLAY A “PAGE OF THE DAY”.
I AM REDUCING PRICES ON MOST OF THESE SETS, SOME WILL BE FACE VALUE, SO IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE AND WANT, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE IN SENDING ME AN EMAIL, PUTTING A SOLD SIGN ON THE CB IS NOT THE WAY TO GUARANTEE YOUR PURCHASE OR TRADE. SEE POD FOR P/H RATES. SEND ME AN EMAIL FOR ORDERS OR QUESTIONS…Reggie

Starting 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.
Follow This Collection Library Link To Approximately +/- 4500 Trader Chips >>>: http://www.collectionlibrary.com/Index.asp?EvApp=mls.5117&sPageName=MyTraders
This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.
Thanks for taking your time to read over this post, Reggie
