Thanks for your memories of these old medals, Phil. I have scans of the medals in my collection but no longer have the medals themselves. You may be the only one of the principals left that was involved in this project. Sure would be nice to capture what you know for the Club archives. If you'd like to do an article for the Club Magazine or just a comprehensive story of what you remember, my scans would be available to help with it.
We've already lost the history of the silver medals that were made for the several early Nevada clubs and it would be nice to capture what we can of these Las Vegas (and Reno) Dollars.
The bronze Heldorado tokens that were made each year Heldorado was held in Las Vegas is another interesting series that it would be nice to document. I had quite a few that I got from Howdy but now have only scans of them.
Here is a scan of most of the silver medals that were made for LV Strip casinos a number of years ago. Made by International Sterling and designs were replicas of casino chips of the club at the time. A number of years ago, I showed the silver medals on TheChipBoard and the closest $100 chip design I could find that might have been the model for each medal. I think Dennis Berry has most of them now.
