It depends...
If you are printing a report to a PDF file and using that as the driver for viewing the collection then a decently fast tablet (being an iPad or Android) will do fine as all of them have the necessary support to view a PDF file (either innately or via an application store download of Adobe reader or any of a number of decent PDF readers). As long as it is a reasonably new tablet it will have the necessary speed. My PDF file is somewhere around 350 pages so I have bookmarks in the file to jump to the right page quickly.
If you plan to use the tablet and the Collector's Assistant software directly it could be done on a number of reasonably strong Windows 10 tablets such as a Surface. While they aren't really tablets (they are PC in a tablet form) there are some less expensive versions of them that may work. I've been meaning to try it for a while to see.
