Plate says "442 65"
In Response To: Today's Car ()

So probably an Olds 442 from 1965. Seems to me that used to mean four barrel carburetor, four speed stick shift, and dual exhaust. Pretty much everything is fuel injected today so the 4-bbl carb won't mean much to today's enthusiasts. An it's not unusual to see 5 or even 6 speed transmissions offered on sporty cars and even automatic transmissions have more than 3 speeds. I see lots of cars today with dual exhaust pipes but not sure how many are truly needed.
