Paraphrased here:
A change is coming to the ChipGuide tomorrow. The ChipGuide is an online catalog of casino collectibles, but there are some items on the ChipGuide that are not collectibles. Some examples are Casino Reports, Pictures and Chip Order Cards. All of these items, and more, are important to preserving gaming history but they needed to be separated from the ChipGuide. The solution is the creation of the Museum of Gaming History's Gaming Archive.
The Gaming Archive (GA) allows for the collection of information about Casinos, States and Chips (and other collectible items). When there is information available, a Archive button will appear when viewing the item on the ChipGuide. When you click on the button you will taken into the GA to view the item. A Return button will get you back. The information items can be in any format - image, PDF, audio, video, text, and even a link to another website. An item can be attached to multiple Casinos and can also have multiple attachments.
To start off the GA, all the Casino Reports, Chip Order Cards and Pictures on the ChipGuide have been moved into the GA, about 4,000 items. And there will be more to come. If you are looking to check out the GA, most of the Nevada casinos have a Casino Report that have been moved into the GA.
