..............past weekend.
Shown below are pictures of my son Damian's "Smokin Dz" Barbeque location outside of Lewes, Delaware. He operates the Barbeque with his wife Katherine and his two sons Collin (who will be attending the University of Delaware this fall) and Gavin who will be 13 this fall. He has been open for 6 years on the weekends form May to October and has built a really nice business. During the week he operates a custom made cabinet shop which has been in business for over 20 years. Needless to say he keeps himself very busy. However, following in his father's footsteps he enjoys playing Roulette at the Dover Downs Casino near where he pick up the pork ever week for the barbeque operation. He does not collect chips except black hundreds when his favorite number "00" hits !! He actually plays the same section of the wheel that I do - keeping up a Birl Family tradition.

Thee other pictures are of a mural my oldest Grandson Ian painted on the front of a shed at our home this past weekend. Ian is studying Architecture at Arizona State University where he will be a Junior this Fall. He just came home from college this past week for Summer break. He is a skilled artist and turned a "blank wall" into a "work of art". The mural is fantastic and adds another dimension to our home on the river.

It's great to have a family that really makes "Old Pop-pop Birl" very proud !!!
