There was a mandatory meeting this morning for all poker room employees of the Luxor, where it was announced the Poker Room will be closing for good on June 17th.

As unfortunate as that is, I'm not really surprised as the three south strip poker rooms all ran similar cash games and tournaments..Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur. The Luxor was consistently the less busy of the three.

As the Big 4 LV Strip poker rooms (Aria, Bellagio, Venetian and Wynn) as well as some of the off-strip poker rooms (Orleans, Red Rock, Golden Nugget, etc.) continue to thrive, the growing list of Las Vegas poker room closings continues to mount..
