I had a couple of requests about scans by Team of the NFL Chip Shots in my MAY DAY SALE.
Below are scans of the different Green Bay Packers chips I have in stock.

Generally there are 6 various colors of edge inserts on these Chip Shots and there are about 8 to 10 players featured from each team in the NFL. a complete set of these chips I believed was 1350 chips. I have over 1300 of these chips with only about 20 chips missing from what I thought was a complete set.

Well that all changed earlier today when I went thru my duplicate in stock and found around a half dozen or more variations then I had never noticed before - just in the Green Bay chips !! I now have to go thru all my dups and see what other variations in surface color and edge inserts I have from the other 31 teams - oh boy !!

I got interested in these chips back in 1997 - when a couple of guys came to our Chip Convention and passed out free samples of these Chip Shots. I started collecting them and bought large groups of them from where ever I could find them. The only problem was - as you got more and more of the chips - you had to buy probably 10 chips just to get one chip you needed. This is how I accumulated 100s and 100s of dups. I stopped actively trying to finish this 1350 piece set several years ago and went on to other things. Now I guess I will have to revisit this idle collection and see how many variations I missed spotting as I put the original collection together.

My wife says I am crazy and she would never get involved with such a mess !! I told her - if you are a collector this is the kind of mess that you want to pursue to a conclusion - however this may well never be accomplished - but I will give it a try. This looks like a project for another time as I have too much on my plate at the current time with planning for the 25th Convention and all that is involved with that.

It is amazing to me how much you learn and how things constantly keeping changing - but that is the FUN of collecting to me.

With all that being said - DOES ANYONE WANT TO START A COLLECTION OF CHIP SHOTS ??? I know where you can get some !!!
