~~~ enough graphic on both sides of the chip where we can clearly see everything we need to know about it, I see no reason to alter the original image...
If the chip were mine to submit as it is, I would ask that it be left as is...
Furthermore, in my opinion, and at an educational level, we should never alter any chip on ChipGuide, no matter how poor condition the chip is in... and, that should hold for unclear or fuzzy scans.
I had some old scans refused for publication since they were poor quality where the graphic could not be read, yet the color, shape and size were not only clear, but perfectly exact... and they are the only chips known and were destroyed in 2005 during Hurricane Wilma.
