I think your repaired image should go on The Chip Guide. I believe that the repaired image better fulfills the mission of the site, so people can either recognize what they have or know what they're looking for.

It would be a different story if someone were trying to sell the chip, but for educational purposes, I would prefer to see what the chip looks like in as close to as-issued state as possible.
