My recommendation would be the Grand, then the Golden Nugget, then the Plaza, then the the Golden Gate and last the "D" in that order. The Grand is two blocks from Fremont Street. The Golden Nugget is in the middle of the action, but pricey. Plaza is
average. The Golden Gate is small but quint. The "D" is primarily for the 20 something set. I never stayed at the Main Street or
the California. Have a great trip.
