Yawn! This big ass casino and hotel just look as out of place in this part of the world as a Rolls-Royce on a dirt road.
Nice enough, for sure. I guess if you live in California, and want to run up rewards on your Total Rewards Card to earn a trip to Las Vegas, this would be the place to go. Or it's a good for a Staycation for San Diegans.
Lost my $15 Pai Gow... but scored a G.O. chip with the buy-in at the table.

I HAVE BEEN TO THE MICCOSUKEE CASINO ONLY TWICE, BOTH OCCASIONS WERE WHILE TRAVELING TO OR FROM KEY WEST FLORIDA. THE FIRST WAS WITH MY WIFE NANCY AND THE 2ND WAS WITH MY YOUNGEST SON KEN, WHEN HE VISITED US HERE AT OUR HOME IN BONITA SPRINGS.
LET ME START OUT BY SAYING, ENGLISH IS A SECOND LANGUAGE AT THE MICCOSUKEE AND FEW OTHER CASINOS IN THE MIAMI AREA. AND THE DEALERS WHO ALMOST ALL SPEAK THE CUBAN LANGUAGE DO NOT EVEN MAKE AN EFFORT OF KEEPING IT IN TOW. SO IF YOU ARE CAUCASIAN AND ARE BOLD ENOUGH TO VENTURE INTO THEIR POKER ROOM, YOU ARE LITERALLY ON YOUR OWN. AND IF YOU SAY SOMETHING; THEN YOUR HAVE A TARGET ON YOUR FOREHEAD FOR AS LONG AS YOU ARE THERE.
SO, SINCE I WAS STAYING THE EVENING, AND THAT APPLIES TO BOTH VISITS, I DECIDED TO SIT IN A GAME AND PICK UP A FEW HANDS. BOTH TIMES I PLAYED I LOST A COUPLE OF HUNDRED, THAT IS A BIT FREAKY, AND I AM NOT MAKING ANY ACCUSATIONS, I AM “JUST SAYIN” BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU PLAY AT THIS CASINO.
I DID GET ALL THE CHIPS I WANTED, 1’s, 5’s AND 1 $10 CHIP.
ANY TIME I NEED TO REPLENTISH MY INVENTORY IT IS ONLY ABOUT A 2 HOUR DRIVE FROM MY DOORSTEP. BUT, THAT WON’T HAPPEN IN THE NEAR FUTURE FOR SURE. I MUST COMMEND THEM ON THEIR HOTEL ROOMS, THEY ARE CLEAN AND CLASSY…REGGIE

MANY YEARS AGO I STARTED MY POSTING, BY POSTING “A SET OF THE DAY” I THINK I HAD ABOUT 300-400 SETS ALL TOGETHER. THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN BACK THEN. AND WHEN I STARTED DOING “A PAGE A DAY” I INCLUDED BETTER SETS AS A CATEGORY.
BUT NOW; RATHER THAN HAVING MY BETTER SETS CATEGORY, I WILL START HAVING A REGULAR SET OF THE DAY WITH MY OTHER FEATURES WHEN I DISPLAY A “PAGE OF THE DAY”.
