I met Abe Schiller while he was a "high up" at the Dunes. Abe loved sports and a good friend of mine was a "just graduated" basketball player at either USC or UCLA, I don't remember. All I remember is that Abe gave us (wife and girlfriend) VIP booth seats for dinner and the show at the Dunes one night and at the Sands the next. This was circa 1968 when Las Vegas was in its' prime as a class operation. Singles deck blackjack, jackets for dinner and shows, coins that clanked out of machines, etc.

Sure, the "boys" ran the town, but it was still fun! I miss it all!! *VBG*
