While it seems likely that these chips were used in the Saratoga Club in Newport, perhaps in the 1950's, there are no Rigdon shipping records that have surfaced to confirm delivery; and believe me I have tried to get the records for years. In addition, that joint was not a large place but probably did have a bookie operation in it. Without attribution, the chips may be of interest to those of us who are local, but not likely to be of high value.
