$100 chip, $10 ... ... $500 chip chip, $19 ... .... postage, $3. PayPal OK. Return privileges. Email me first for payment details.
These are replica chips, made after the movie was released. I have only 9 of the $500 chips, which are a little on the faint side.
DESCRIPTION: These are poker chips just like those seen at the Bahamas Ocean One Club poker game, in the first 30 minutes of the 2006 Daniel Craig James Bond “Casino Royale” movie! In the film, the chips are used in the Bond-Dimitrios poker game at the Ocean One Club. The chips offered here look just like in the above screenshots from the movie, but are replicas made after the film came out. PLOT OF THE FILM, IN BRIEF: Le Chiffre is a terrorist financier and investment banker. His racket is to short-sell the stock of companies he later has terrorists attack to sink the company’s publicly traded stock price. He makes about a $100 million short-sell bet against Skyfleet Airline. (A short-sell bet at the stock market is, in effect, a bet that the price of the stock will decline. If it doesn’t, you can lose all your money (bet).) …. …. Getting back to the chips offered here: following a lead to the Bahamas, about 30 minutes into the movie, Bond encounters Alex Dimitrios and his girlfriend, Solange. He learns that Dimitrios is involved with Le Chiffre, banker to the world's terrorist organizations. Bond joins a poker game at the Ocean One club and wins Dimitrio’s Astin Martin auto. Dimitrios, the chips and key to the auto are shown in the screenshots below. After losing to Bond at the poker game, Dimitrios goes to the US to destroy the Skyfleet airplane, but is followed by Bond who prevents the destruction of the plane. So Le Chiffre loses the $100 million of his clients' money when Bond foils Le Chiffre's attack on Skyfleet's prototype of the world's largest airliner, an attack which, if successful, would have bankrupted the airline. To recoup the $100 million and stop his clients from killing him, Le Chiffre organizes a winner-take-all poker tournament at the Casino Royale hotel in Montenegro where ten players are to attend, each with a $15 million stake. Bond arranges to be one of the players.
ACTUAL ONE&ONLY OCEAN CLUB, at Paradise Island, Bahamas: “The Ocean Club, featured prominently in Casino Royale, actually exists. Several scenes were filmed in and around the Club. First Bond arrives with a waterplane and drives in his Ford Mondeo to the club. After he causes some car damage at the parking lot, Bond goes to the lobby, where he finds out that it is Alex Dimitrios who received the sms sent by Mollaka. Later Bond plays a short poker game against Dimitrios in The Library (which is located just off the lobby) and wins his Aston Martin DB5 (with DB9 keyring). After the game he seduces Dimitrios' girlfriend Solange and takes her to his Ocean Club sea-view villa, but leaves for Miami when he finds out that Dimitrios is headed there to destroy the Skyfleet prototype airliner, leaving Solange with champagne and Beluga caviar. Bond's villa, [used in the film], is available for rent on the One&Only Ocean Club website.” To read more about the Club and filming in the Bahamas, click here:
