Main Street & California don't charge a resort fee
In Response To: Caesars Raising Resort Fees ()

I stayed at Main Street Station back in January. No resort fee, no parking fee, very recently remodeled bathroom, and a clean, comfortable sleeping space. Still offer $5 tables, and hosts a nice brewery with good food & happy hour specials. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if I was looking for a cheap trip. IMO, you can get cheaper food downtown anyway, and I don't mind playing at Main Street or Golden Nugget, and Binion's as a good Saturday poker tourney with a nice structure and some relatively soft players.

Plus it's not all that far from Spinetti's - depending on where you're from and the weather, you might even consider it walking distance. Cheap digs, cheap eats, and walking distance to chip heaven? Yes please!
