I believe Ken Johnson originally bought the property at the state line with his partner Harvey Gross. Gross built Harvey's Wagon Wheel Saloon on his half of the land, and Johnson sold his property on the corner to George S. Canon and Phillip "Curly" Musso for their George's Gateway Club in 1949 (which later became Harrah's Club in 1955, then merged with Harvey's in 1970).
