Sharkey Begovich is buried at the Serbian Orthodox Church in Jackson, California, just a couple blocks from Highway 88, also known as the John C. Begovich Memorial Highway (named after Sharkey's brother, a former California state senator, U.S. Marshal, and Amador County supervisor).
