My favourite small poker room in Las Vegas will close April 25, as Monte Carlo prepares to re-brand itself as two new hotels..The Park and the Nomad.
Some of the most fun I ever had playing poker was at the 1/2 tables there. Mostly crazy-loose-drunk players there that loved to spew their money.
The Monte Carlo has the c0cktail waitresses make the rounds in the poker room every 5 to 10 minutes, or so. The games were always lively.
I have played next door at the Aria quite a bit at their nitty 1/3 tables, where just about every player is a 20-something grinder wearing sunglasses and earplugs. No smiles. No fun. Give me the MC every time..very sad it is closing..
