I really didn't want to get back into this, but......I am also not a current member of the club, but a former one. I too have opinions that I offer on this board which, as Mr. Caven has pointed out, is a public board and open to everyone. I also offered an opinion on the speaker as a non-member and was called names and "degraded" as Doug has said. None of my posts degraded any individual or called anyone names. I merely offered an opinion. It was said that I "was not a man", that I "exist in my parents basement", was a "troll", etc by a representative of the club. As amusing as this was, it was unnecessary, and shouldn't be condoned by a club whose membership is dwindling year by year. It seems that the degradation is acceptable from club representatives, but not the general public. Also it seems that when this kind of thing happens, we are accused of not "being at peace" with ourselves. Doug, we are at peace, we just don't want the insults just because we aren't members any longer. I do wish the club much success, and I would love to re-join, but these people you have as representatives prevent me from wanting to be associated with such an organization. Thanks for the consideration and I await any response, hopefully they will be within the boundaries of good taste.
