Glad you stopped by my town! Next time give me a call. You are right DiNapoli's Firehouse is a great place to eat too. The restaurant actually had some fire damage from a fire next door years ago. Nick the owner works for the Barstow Fire Deptment too. You missed two great stops at the train station, The route 66 museum (free), and the NASA Sphere Display next door $5.00 though sometime in March. I lived in Barstow since '75, and 3 years in Yermo, when I got out of the Marine Corps in '79. While living in Yermo, I learned that the original Del Taco was born in Yermo, now named Burger Den, I think. If you drove through Yermo, it was on the right, small hamburger joint now. The 3 Barstow Del Taco's are the only, not franchised and are family owned. The first Del Taco open on First Street, by the train station and other attractions I mention.
