When things go wrong with a buyer on eBay, the seller has to get hard hearted real fast to protect themselves. If by coincidence you bid on exactly the same chips that were part of a failed sale, with no additions or subtractions, jumping to conclusions quickly is what the seller must do to protect themselves from a related bidder then buying the auctions and then causing trouble in making claims of non delivery or not as described, to "help out" their friend. In these types of situations the seller always looses, sometimes more than the value of the items in question.
It's sad that eBay has become like this, and that you got caught up in it.
