These aren't mine, but someone asked if these have any significant collectability value over potential table value.
What I'm told is these are live chips (given to the gambler in the last couple of months as he walked out the casino as an enticement to return) and they are used as a onetime bet on even pay games. Therefore, their intrinsic value should be at least 50% of face, right? Theoretically you could go to roulette, put half on red, half on black (and a $5 chip on 0/00) and be guaranteed half face value.
So what is the value to a collector?
And I've been out of the "live chips" game for awhile, but aren't "No Cash Value" usually just tournament chips? I was surprised when he said these were good for a bet chips.
