As Jason said, I can't comment on your situation or dealings with him but personally I have never had an issue with Tim either. Always polite and accommodating with no problems.
Have you tried talking to him about it to sort it any confusion?
I hope you manage to speak with him so he knows the chips are for you.
Maybe that would help, but you probably already know that already.
