As long as I'd gone all the way down to the Augustine, I figured I might as well go see the Red Earth Casino, down by the Salton Sea. I fell in love with this little joint! Unlike Fantasy Rip Off Springs and Moron-go these folks were genuinely interested in having you stop in their place! Got the slot card and needed to earn 3 points to get $10 in free slot play. Reasonable. I thought. After giving me the card, the lady at the club desk asked if I'd like a bottle of water "Yes, Please". She ducked in the back and brought forth a half frozen bottle of water! Boy, was that refreshing in 110 degree heat. She and I started talking, told her I was a collector... she said they has some t-shirts that they'd been giving out, Would I like one? But she only had size 4x left. I'm a 3x, and when it comes to those sizes, not much difference between wearing a 3 man tent and a 4 man tent. I went looking around for "the Machine" that wouldn't lie to me about giving off the vibe that it was getting ready to pay off. Found it! Put in $5 and pretty soon I had $11+. I went back to the nice lady to see if I'd racked up 3 points for free play. Nope, not yet she said. The heck with the free play, I'm taking doubling my money in a slot and running. She and I talked some more, and she said that they had some of the old chips in the back, even though they'd not had table games in 4 or 5 years. I was hoping she'd have a $5 or a $25, but came back with a 50 center that I already had, and besides she said they told her that they were not letting go of any of the chips, even for full face value. So I went back to my hot machine and put in a dollar to work it down to 1c for a take home TITO. Well, the dang machine kept paying off, I kept cashing out and putting in another dollar to try again. LMAO at the concept that I was trying to LOOSE money and the machine wouldn't let me do that. If only I'd been playing quarters!!! I could have dang near paid for my whole trip Still, it was a great way to end the gambling portion of my vacation !
A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO I STARTED HAVING A GUEST AUTHOR AND HIS/HER HARVEST STORY AS OFTEN AS I COULD.
AT THIS WRITING I ONLY HAVE 25 STORIES TO SHARE. I AM HOPING THAT A FEW MORE AUTHORS WILL STEP UP TO THE PLATE, AND THESE VERY PROLIFIC “CHIPPERS” WILL COME UP WITH A FEW MORE. I WILL RE RUN THESE STORIES THROUGH THE COMING YEAR. AND ADD STORIES AS THE POD ROLLS ALONG.
THESE STORIES ARE ALWAYS INFORMATIVE AND USUALLY HAVE A BIT OF TONGUE AND CHEEK HUMOUR.
LET’S SHARE WITH OTHERS DIFFERENT WAYS OF HARVESTING, THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS THAT WE HAVE FACED OUT THERE WHILE WE WERE HARVESTING.
THANKS FOR READING THIS LITTLE INFO-MERCIAL.

LAKE CHARLES LOUISIANA IS SURROUNDED BY WATER, AND KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT SIDE OF THE BRIDGES ARE A PLUS. YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT NANCY HAD A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH THAT, FINDING THE L’AUBERAGE DU LAC. THE CASINO AFTER ARRIVING AND GETTING PARKED, WAS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS INSIDE. UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS SO EXTREMELY POPULAR WITH THE LOCALS AND CLOSE BY HOUSTON TEXANS THAT YOU COULD BARELY WALK INSIDE.
NANCY AND I JUST SORT OF WANDERED AROUND ON THE MAIN CASINO FLOOR FOR ABOUT A HALF AN HOUR. NANCY WAS HAVING TROUBLE FINDING A MACHINE THAT SHE WANTED TO PLAY AND I WAS STICKING CLOSE TO HER. FINALLY, I GOT HER SETTLED AT AN AREA THAT HAD A BANK OF MACHINES THAT SHE LIKED AND WERE AVAILABLE FOR HER TO PLAY.
THE WHOLE CASINO WAS FULL; PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. I HAD DETERMINED THAT YOU COULD NOT GET CHIPS OUT OF THE CASHIER CAGE. SO, I WADED INTO THE TABLE GAMES AREA WITH PROPER BILLS TO BUY TO BUY CHIPS WITH ($10’S & $20’S). EVERY TABLE, AND I MEAN EVERY TABLE WAS FULL OF PLAYERS. FINALLY, I NOTICED A PIT BOSS, OUT IN THE CUSTOMER AISLES SORT OF OBSERVING THE ACTION. COME TO FIND OUT HE WAS HIGHER UP THAN THAT, PERHAPS A SHIFT MANAGER; AND AS HE NOTICED ME HE SAID: YOU LOOK LIKE YOU COULD USE SOME HELP. I SAID YES, I AM TRYING TO BUY SOME CHIPS, AND I DO NOT NEED A SEAT. HE SAID COME WITH ME, (IT WAS A GOOD THING I KNEW WHAT I WANTED) AND STOPPED THE ACTION AT A TABLE, SOME OF THE PATRONS PLAYING THERE SHOT HIM A DIRTY LOOK, AND THEN GLARED AT ME AFTER THEY FOUND OUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING. I SAID THANK YOU, POCKETED MY CHIPS AND LEFT A TIP FOR THE VERY BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY DEALING THE CARDS.
AT THIS CASINO I DID NOT GET ENOUGH CHIPS TO LAST VERY LONG, BUT; THAT IS OK, SOME TIMES YOU DO AND SOMETIMES YOU CANNOT, BECAUSE OF THE SCENERIO THAT SURROUNDS YOU…REGGIE http://www.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=LALCLD

I am always trying to put things together that have some semblance of balance. Of course, that will always be in the eye of the beholder. Some of these may attract you the collector a little or a lot, no matter which way it attracts, please know I am always trying to help you out, with items you want at price that is fair. For now, I am going to do them every week, but as an unscheduled surprise feature…Thanks for looking. Reggie
If you have some ideas about compatible pairs please send them in to me. If it is possible and I happen to have the two, they will be put on the docket...reg

Pricing is an opinion of worth or value. It is always good to be able know exactly how much you should ask for an item. But, pricing is not an exact science. My prices range from 50% face value up.
My pricing structure is always a struggle. Over all I gauge my pricing on these facts:
1) How much I paid
2) How many I have in my inventory
3) The commonness or scarcity of the item
On occasion I must take serious offers, because of unavailable pricing indicators. Again, this is something that individuals do not agree upon. When I am given a lowball price, I tend not to answer the e-mail. Please, be reminded if you have never seen one for sale at the price you are offering, then it is a low ball price.
My prices are reduced as time goes by; when the item in question does not sell. In rare instances I will raise the price of an item after something unforeseen happens that causes a scarcity of an item I may be fortunate enough to have in my inventory.
Your input is always important,… Reggie
MANY YEARS AGO I STARTED MY POSTING, BY POSTING “A SET OF THE DAY” I THINK I HAD ABOUT 300-400 SETS ALL TOGETHER. THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN BACK THEN. AND WHEN I STARTED DOING “A PAGE A DAY” I INCLUDED BETTER SETS AS A CATEGORY.
BUT NOW; RATHER THAN HAVING MY BETTER SETS CATEGORY, I WILL START HAVING A REGULAR SET OF THE DAY WITH MY OTHER FEATURES WHEN I DISPLAY A “PAGE OF THE DAY”.
I AM REDUCING PRICES ON MOST OF THESE SETS, SOME WILL BE FACE VALUE, SO IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE AND WANT, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE IN SENDING ME AN EMAIL, PUTTING A SOLD SIGN ON THE CB IS NOT THE WAY TO GUARANTEE YOUR PURCHASE OR TRADE. SEE POD FOR P/H RATES. SEND ME AN EMAIL FOR ORDERS OR QUESTIONS…Reggie
