Everything in the convention programs. Information of all convention events such as seminars, tournaments, the auction, etc. Direct Link to reserve rooms at the South Point using the club code (if link is set-up well before the event) Links to information of the host hotel such as gaming, restaurants, shows, shuttles, etc. App could be linked with the Club website and even The Chipboard, though that might be a slippery slope apparently due to the "not-for-profit" status of the Club. The App can even have a function to IM other members at the convention. The possibilities are really endless.

For the App to be successful it would have be publicized here, on the Club website, the Club Magazine, and at the convention itself by the registration area and in the bourse floor. Signs should be placed around the convention area to let people know about the App and how to download it. Don't have a repeat of 2014 when Sheldon said most never even knew it existed.

Now I am aware our member base is quite a bit older, and maybe not as tech savvy as most of the other conventions I have attended that use an App. Some won't even want to be bothered. That could be a major reason not to even have an App if the first place. I get that.

Again, I am just brainstorming. The cost wouldn't be all that great. It seems like a good step to get our club moving forward. The biggest obstacle is to find someone willing to input all the information that has some type of basic programming background..who would also donate their time..
