Steve's talented son (one of two talented sons) made ESQUIRE MAGAZINE THIS WEEK: On page 73, "The Impossible Wines" it reads: "Sandlands 2012 Amador County Chenin Blanc. 'Like Cruse, Teagan Passalacqua is another "cool kid" in California, and has been the longtime vineyard manager at Turley, where he is now the winemaker as well. Snadlands is his own label. The chenin is texuaral and acid-driven, and it sells out immediately. The few people I know that have older bottlings are treasuring them like a grand cru." My comments are not a paid advertisement since i have often asked Steve for a bottle or two and have been willing to pay twice what I ordinarily pay for a bottle of wine ($2)
