Just so I understand correctly, your suggestion is to give free banquet tickets to anyone attending the convention for the first time.

Now personally I think this idea misses the mark. Those registering for the convention already are coming to the show. They can already see what the trade sessions, tournaments, seminars, auction, Banquet (If they choose) and 3 outstanding days of the showroom floor.

I would rather us target those that dont come to the convention or are not yet members, but that is just me.

There are also logistical problems as who makes sure that people are being honest when saying they are attending thier first convention? Who is to say that someone didnt come 3 years ago and who is reading this claims they have never been? That will take some extra work and someone putting together a database of all past conventions with names (Some of the names on the forms are not legable).

However, this like all suggestions, I promised will be discussed.

I once again implore you to post any suggestions on the club board and not on the chipboard as that is the proper place to bring to light items you wish the BOD to discuss.
