Why has trading completely disappeared from the Chip Board??? Is it true that we have no newer collectors or collectors with limited funds that rely on trading to build larger collections? Am I the only person around here who thinks trading benefits everyone? Do none of the veteran chip collectors have any interest in trading?
Last night I made a post looking to trade for chips for my sons collection. Up until now the post has had 171 views with ZERO trade interest.
I made a post on 1/6 looking to trade for chips for my collection. Up until now the post had 186 views with Zero trades.
Are my collecting interests so limited that nobody has chips I need? I don't think so. I collect all chips Las Vegas related and still have a relatively small collection so I need lots of chips. Are my traders so terrible that nobody wants them? I don't think so, I do have some chips that a lot of people like. Are the postal rates causing people to not want to trade? I hope not as I (and I'm assuming many others) have no problem paying $2.50 in shipping to get chips that I want....
So what's the real reason? This is a part of our hobby that we can't let go of and I'm afraid that it's quickly disappearing. Anyone's help or suggestions for reviving chip trading is greatly encouraged.
