Hello Atlantic City Chippers,
It's here - the 2017 season of the ACCCC (Atlantic City Casino Collectibles Club). The FIRST meeting of 2017 will be held on
Sunday, January 29, 2017. It is going to be a warm and sunny day in AC, so you may want to bring along a swimsuit with your
chips. Swim with Atlantic City's Polar Bear Club early in the morning and then come to Bally's Hotel and Spa afterwards. The
doors will open at 11:00am. ACCCC members have decided to have 5 meetings this year. The dates for the 2017 are: January
29, March 12, May 7, September 10, and November 19, 2017.
Following the January Meeting, members are encouraged to join us at the Golden Nugget for our Winter Festival Bash. Tickets
are $7.00. Tickets can be purchased during the meeting from either Rob Montebello or Rump Roast.
Club and Chipping News
• Contracts between the ACCCC and Caesars Entertainment HAVE NOT been signed as of this date. The ONLY contract
that has been signed is for the January 29th meeting.
• We are now on Facebook. Since November's Meeting, membership on Facebook has grown by 200%. Be sure to follow
us on Facebook.
• The 2017 CC>CC Convention will be held June 22-24 at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas. See Brenda Black for
more details.
Recap of November 2016 Meeting
• For the first time in a long time, the first 4 original members of our club were present. They are Dick Brach, Russ Diaz, Jerry
Birl, and Tom Duffy. Welcome back Mr. Duffy.
• All board members were present.
• 41 members and 3 guests were present.
• 50/50 winners were: $60.00 Rob Montebello, $40.00 Allen McCurdy and $20.00 Tom Duffy.
• The membership voted to have 5 club meetings this year, instead of 4.
Rumor Central
• Former AC Casino owner Donald J. Trump is going to be the President of the United States!
• Our friend, AC Mayor, Donald Guardian still remains very optimistic about Atlantic City in 2017, even after the "State
Takeover".
• Mr. Icahn plans to surrender the Trump Taj Mahal Casino license.
• NJ Voters overwhelmingly voted down North Jersey casinos by a 4 to 1 margin in November.
• NJ CCC (Casino Control Commission) will vote on January 11, 2017 on Revel's casino license.
• Icahn is in talks since Dec. 20th, 2016 to sell the Taj Mahal.
• Tropicana is the fourth property in AC to offer skill-based gaming. ''Danger Arena" opened on Dec. 23, 2016. Currently,
Harrah's, Bally's and Caesar's have the game.
• MGM's National Harbor Casino, just outside of Washington DC in Maryland, opened Dec. 5, 2016.
• The Lucky Dragon casino in Las Vegas opened Dec. 3, 2016.
