In the 1960's and 70's, it was not unusual for the executives at a casino to have chips made with their names on them to hand out to customers. Sometimes they were called "Howdy Chips". Here are several from Reno and Carson City.
The Golden red dollar chip has a smooth, shiny center inlay.
The Cactus Jack's Carson City chips sometimes have only a partial gold hot-stamp on them. The ones here are complete. All but the yellow/3 purple chip are H&C Christy and Jones chips.
