First, I would think that it difficult to get enough new chip-related articles to fill four magazines every year, so I can certainly understand going outside of the strictly chip-related realm to get enough materials to fill the magazine. Plus, a number of the club's members (including myself) are coin collectors, so there is some interest. And along those same lines, having more dealers rather than less dealers helps the bottom line of the convention. Just like I do with other convention dealers that are presenting wares that don't interest me, I'd just walk on past if it's not what I want. I think that it's very important that we get as many eyes onto gaming collectibles as possible, so bringing in coin dealers that may bring in some new potential collectors seems like a good thing. What seems to be the most difficult task these days is to find people that still collect ANYTHING. And if someone collects coins, they may be more apt to collect what we collect...who knows... In these days of shrinking membership, I appreciate the effort towards bringing more people in.
