first day with the new "Fountain". It had been "Casino Nacional" since early 20's, and in 1943 it was changed to Gran Casino Nacional with the new Fountain. Yes, the NC chips were the roulettes of Casino Nacional, among others.
The casino closed in early 1950's and the Fountain was then sold to the Tropicana!. Most of the equipment and staff was then moved to be used or work in the newly opened casino at the Hotel Nacional under the name of Wilbur Clark's casino, which did not last very long because soon after Castro changed Cuba for good!.
