Hello Chip Collectors! A Short time ago I came across quite a find at my local Goodwill Store. It was a whole box of 100 $5 chips from Gambler's Hall of Fame. They also appeared to be quite new and possibly even uncirculated: no chips, dents, or scratches. The crosshatching is also quite intact, not worn down at all. I'm a blackjack dealer myself, and these guys are so sharp and rigid (not worn) that they are difficult to cut and splash. After consulting with other chip collectors, I was advised of the best way to sell them and at what would be a fair price after the market gets wind of my find. My sincere thanks to Mr. Robert Eisenstadt for your help in that department. I then began selling them on eBay.
One of the first to buy one of my chips is a collector/seller named Ricky Pushkin from All-chips. After receiving the chip, he complained that it was warped. Concerned that he was not happy with the transaction and wanting to avoid any negative feedback on eBay, I refunded his money and told him to keep the chip. I also documented the (very slight) warping and amended my eBay listing and even further lowered the price of my chips. Even after complaining and getting a refund, Mr. Pushkin still tried to lowball me and haggle to buy 10 more chips from me an even lower price. He was also full of "helpful" information that I should not sell the chips this cheaply and that I needed to be "patient" and only sell 3 to 4 a year to keep their value up.
Last week I first posted on this forum to offer to trade for my chips for other chips. Mr. Pushkin couldn't help himself and posted a reply trying to "warn" you guys the chips were warped and "exposing" my secret that I had a 100 of them. I find this behavior reprehensible and unscrupulous. I am not trying to pull anything on anyone! I have now sold nearly 20 of these chips on eBay, give a few away to fellow casino employees with chip collections of their own, and one person did even respond to last weeks trade post. All have been very satisfied with my chips. The ONLY one to complain is Mr. Pushkin.
So here is my new trade offer in defiance of Mr. Pushkin. I still have 65 of these chips left to sell or trade. If you want to flat out buy one, I still have an eBay listing at a very fair price of $24.50 + shipping (link attached below). For those who want to trade for one, I offer these terms: Send me your address and I'll mail you one of my chips FIRST. If you are happy with the quality, send me $30-ish worth of chips in trade (I have no problem trusting to the HONOR system here). All I ask is for NEVADA casino chips and denominations that I don't already have one of (I will email my current collection). SIMPLE. If you don't like the chip, I'll Paypal you $ to mail it back.
This offer is open to anyone on this forum except Mr. Ricky Pushkin (I want NOTHING from you).
Hoping to trade with you guys and thank you all.
Sal Immediato
