Just over pickup truck mirror, on the road to the Teleli Golf Course near Sonora. Another turkey (his intended mate, no doubt) was on the other side of the fence, and Tom was gobbling unhappily - he couldn't figure out how to get over there. Turkeys can't fly over fence lines? He strutted across the road, in no particular hurry, and that's how I stopped and was able to find my camera (it took that long for him to cross).
