Early CHIPCO samples were both notched and drilled on the same piece, though I think they were sent to Europe, only. I traded a $100 ESJ with Archie at an ANA Convention in '92 which was in a packet that came from a French casino with other samples cancelled the same way. I think hey were pre sawtooth-shape notches.
