In the late 1990s at the Flamingo in Laughlin, they had a promotion on slot machines. The machines had 8 different NCM color tokens salted in the hoppers and if you could accumulate a complete set of 8 that spelled out FLAMINGO, you got a special prize. I don't remember what you got but it was not easy to build the set. O'Neal catalog numbers on these are 3553 through 3560. Some letters were really hard to get.
I put together this set over the years at chip shows. There are no breaks or tears in the inlays on either side. Reverse of all the tokens is the Cool Bird with the Uncle-Sam hat. A nice addition to your colored token collection and a unique use of the series-for-a-prize concept. I believe Harolds Club in Reno had a similar contest but not using colored tokens.
The set can be yours for $164 delivered in USA. I never saw the set offered for less than $250 over the past few years.
