I had a great afternoon in Cripple Creek. I took the southern route in from US 50. A bit of a Mountain drive at times. I just was oblivious to the concept that at 9400+ feet elevation, that there would be Mountainous roads involved. Still, a beautiful drive, but not quite as relaxing as some others on the trip. Also, the route is not overly well marked. Miss one sign, and you're 2 counties away before you realize something's amiss.
